Helio Fernandez

Helio Fernandez got his degree in telecommunications engineering in 2009 from the University of Malaga (Spain). His master thesis entitled "Cryptographic algorithms for low power devices" meant his first contact with a research environment.

After some time working on the private sector in Brussels he decided to join the VIPER research team. He is currently working under the framework of both ESCOM and Cognipole ESA projects. He is also collaborating in different project from the Human Physiology and Sportsmedicine department of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) where he is at present enrolled as a PhD Student. His main areas of expertise are medical signal processing and modelling.
